OR AT A SPECIALIZED SERVICE CENTER.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
TD-1 is an optico-electronic observation device designed to allow observations of personnel and orientation on areas in night-time conditions; this Night Vision Device can be also used for examination of faintly lit objects and for other purposes.
1. General Instructions on Use
TD-1 is a precision optical instrument equipped with electronics.
- therefore it should be handled with due care, keep it clean, away from dust, avoid sudden changes of temperature;
- do not touch the optical surfaces with fingers. Doing so can damage the anti-reflection coating. Cleaning of optical surfaces is possible only with a soft pile-free cloth orcotton wool slightly saturated in spirit or ether;
- do not take the cover off the lens if not necessary;
- due to considerable optical magnification of the eye-piece some small structures inside the image tube coating in the form of dark and white points may be seen in the field of view which does not
affect the serviceability and reliability of the of the device;
- the resolving power may change in the direction from the center to the border of the field of view as it is the feature of the image tube type utilized
in the device.So you are recommended to place the scene of observation in the center of the field of view.

3. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! NEVER OPERATE YOUR NIGHT VISION DEVICE IN DAYLIGHT OR BRIGHT AREASWITHOUT THE LENS COVER ON!
NEVER DIRECT THE LENS IN THE DIRECTION OF BRIGHT LIGHT!
3.1. Pre-starting procedures.
Unpack the device.
Check the functioning of the device by switching it on (click switch) and looking through eye-piece. If power supply and the battery are ok, you will see green-yellow lit screen. If the screen is not lit, check the battery. Replace the battery if necessary.
3.2. Testing of operation.
Turn on the device using switch. Lens cap must be on.
Direct the device on an object placed within 10-20 m from the viewer. Turning eye-piece adjust the most sharp image of the screen of the image tube.
3.3. Operation at night
AT MOON LIGHT Take off the lens cover. Turn on the device using switch. Turning eye-piece adjust the most clear image of the image tube screen. Then obtain the most clear-cut image of the object focusing with ring. Repeat the steps of focusing if necessary.
AT INSUFFICIENT AMBIENT ILLUMINATION
Activate switch for switching on the device. Depress button for switching on IR LED illuminator. Direct the device on the object to be viewed.
In order to replace the batteries take off cover and
replace the batteries observing the polarity indicated on cover. Close cover. If brightness of the screen is decreasing, replace the batteries.
Take out the batteries during long time periods of non-operation of the device.
4. PRECAUTIONS
Keep your device in its case in a dry warm good aired room.
Keep away from heating appliances and central heating.
Keep away from direct sunlight, impacts, dust, moisture, and sudden changes of temperatures.
Do not touch optical parts with hands,wipe only with soft clean cloth, brush or cotton moistened in technical spirit or ether.
Make sure to switch off the unit during periods of non-operation and when storing the device for long period of time.
Do not apply superfluous efforts at work with lens assembly, agile elements and thread connections.
